Our history:
Lea Melchior and the late Clarence Glaser founded Goldenrod Research in
1985 in Spalding, NE, as an electronics engineering and design firm.
The company soon undertook proprietary designs, entering the K-12
education marketplace in 1992 as an OEM, with the debut of RoboArm.
Goldenrod developed its own manufacturing capacity in Spalding, where
manufacturing operations remain today. We take much pride in labeling our
educational products Made in America.

More About Us
After RoboArm, Goldenrod added RoboAC, Tempest, and RoboVue
to its robotics line and created its fluid power family, HydrauLift and
HydrauLift .
In 1997 Goldenrod introduced YouthTouch, its first comprehensive STEM
system, and the industry’s first for elementary education. YouthTouch
incorporated multiples of Goldenrod’s hands-on equipment with
curriculum integration materials and staff development. YouthTouch
components have been continually upgraded and enhanced since 1997.

In 2020, during the depths of the pandemic, and with the passing of
Mr. Glaser, Goldenrod began exploring ways to bring the YouthTouch
learning experience to more schools and more students, more
effectively, more efficiently and more affordably.
After 4 years of R & D, Goldenrod is thrilled to unveil its second
comprehensive system for Grades 3-8: RoboArm Remote, deliverable
for the 2024-25 school term.
The next chapter...
“The physical, emotional and intellectual learning needs of
children drive my designs, not the capabilities of the latest
technology.”
Electronics technology has advanced tremendously since the
early 1990s, but Goldenrod’s core beliefs remain the same.
